Harrogate is one of our favourite towns, we love the old buildings (nearly as good as York) and take pleasure in going over there. Mostly!! On one of our removals from Harrogate, we discovered on the way there that it was the Great Yorkshire Show that day !! We managed to get as far as the A1 and came to a sudden STOP. The traffic was backed up to there from the Yorkshire Showground and we had to wait there for 3 AND HALF HOURS. Needless to say we were not very pleased and neither was our customer, but they did understand it wasn’t our fault and we managed to get them packed up and loaded within a couple of hours or so and then moved over to a village close to Ripon.
